Woman Together club
At the Women Together club, women enjoy a meal in a safe environment where they dare to discuss what truly concerns them. Here, they do not have to worry about people gossiping about them if they say something (a common problem in small towns). The women talk about many different things: health issues, their children, husbands who are away fighting or dare not leave home for fear of being called up to the army. And since the frontline got closer, their plans to evacuate should that day come.
“These meetings help women to get away from everyday life. Our frank conversations in which everyone participates help them to see their problems and how to overcome these.”
