Drops of Hope!
Drops of Hope is Our Daily Bread’s core concept. We believe that a little bit of money invested wisely can make a big and lasting difference in Ukrainian lives. Our inspiration is smart irrigation systems, where every drop of water helps plants to grow.
We invest our drops (your hard-earned money) wisely to ensure an abundant harvest of hope and lasting change. We focus on five projects where we have a strong track record of helping Ukrainians to move forward in their lives:
Frontline – Fuel4Change – Future4Kids – Home Front – Livelihoods
Frontline
Frontline helps communities to remain resilient. We provide opportunities for people to meet and support one another, as well as the practical help they need to live, not merely survive. Our current focus is on Oleksandrivka, a rural town on the edge of the Donbas where we have several initiatives. As Russian troops advanced, it became a frontline community in the summer of 2025. Now, thanks to the strong relationship of trust we have built with the community, we can stand by them in their hour of need.
“Thank you for always being there for us”
Yevhen Nadiuk, Frontline partner
How can you support a Frontline Community?
Fuel4Change
Fuel is what keeps compassion moving. Without it, schools cannot be visited, soldiers in hospitals cannot be encouraged, and families in crisis go without help. Through Fuel4Change, we cover the essential fuel costs that enable our partner, Volodymyr and Tetiana Avilova, to serve people in vulnerable situations in the city of Kremenchuk: wounded soldiers, bedridden individuals, older adults, refugees, struggling families, and schoolchildren whose fathers are soldiers.
“The biggest challenge is changing mindsets. Many people have a passive outlook on life. We encourage them to adopt a more proactive attitude and to support one another in leading healthier, more fulfilling lives.”
Volodymyr Avilvoa. Fuel4Change partner

Future4Kids
With Future4Kids, Our Daily Bread gives young people opportunities to meet, be themselves, learn, and have fun. But also deal with the trauma and negative emotions caused by the war. We also ensure that the adults who work with children receive the training they need to really help the kids in their care.
Future4Kids supports three initiatives.
– Good4U club
– Jacaranda Communities of Hope
– Children Mission
“We are grateful to Our Daily Bread for the opportunity to gain knowledge on supporting children as they process their traumatic experiences. This is so important as the war continues. We care about the future of our children and want them to live in a healthy nation. “
Iryna Reviakina, director ICO Messenger of Peace

Home Front
War dehumanizes soldiers. And it puts a severe strain on their family relationships. Through Home Front, we equip military chaplains to provide vital spiritual, moral, and emotional care that helps soldiers stay human. Soldiers trust chaplains because they know what life at the front is like. That means they are willing to genuinely talk with him about their fears, issues of conscience when they kill people in combat, the pain of losing comrades in battle, the struggles some of them have sleeping and their concerns for their loved ones back home.
“Being present for the families of fallen soldiers helps them deal with their trauma.”
Oleg Usatiuk, voluntary military chaplain

Livelihoods
With our Livelihoods project we help people to live with dignity. In the Oleksandrivka region of Eastern Ukraine, we provide households with chickens to keep and vegetable seeds to grow. Tending a garden and caring for their birds gives people a reason to get up each day as well as a source of food and income. And for those on the margins, we support a “soup kitchen” in one of Ukraine’s most beautiful cities. This meal, given with love and a listening ear, reminds the people who receive it that somebody still cares for them.
“The chickens give people purpose. They care for the birds and the birds care for them. It’s a beautiful thing to see.” – Yevhen Nadiuk, partner Livelihoods.

“I truly appreciate what Our Daily Bread is doing for Ukrainians, and was glad to be involved in the Jacaranda initiative of the Future4Kids project. I enjoy helping people, and I believe this project can become a powerful tool to support those who have experienced the trauma of war.”
