Why Fuel4Change?

Fuel is what keeps compassion moving. Without it, schools cannot be visited, soldiers in hospitals cannot be encouraged, and families in crisis go without help. Through Fuel4Change, we cover the essential fuel costs that enable our partner, Volodymyr and Tetiana Avilova, to serve people in vulnerable situations in the city of Kremenchuk: wounded soldiers, bedridden individuals, older adults, refugees, struggling families, and schoolchildren whose fathers are soldiers. Every trip brings not only food, clothing, and practical aid but also unconditional love. By supporting Fuel4Change, you ensure that these life-giving journeys continue, communities are strengthened, and those on the margins experience a human touch.

How we make a difference

The practical help that Voldymyr and Tetiana bring is a conversation starter. It opens doors to people’s hearts. They receive a listening ear as they talk freely about their hopes and concerns. Older people in villages who worry about medical costs, refugees living in a dormitory who do not see a way ahead, or Roma families who experience the mistrust of the society they live in. And simply by being present in a place, Voldymyr and Tetiana show people that they are seen. Hospital staff and social workers feel recognised and appreciated for the work they do, and wounded soldiers in hospitals far away from home realise they are not forgotten.

“The biggest challenge is changing mindsets. Many people have a passive outlook on life. We encourage them to adopt a more proactive attitude and to support one another in leading healthier, more fulfilling lives.”
