Why Home Front?
War dehumanizes soldiers. And it puts a severe strain on their family relationships. Through Home Front, we equip military chaplains to provide vital spiritual, moral, and emotional care that helps soldiers stay human. Soldiers trust chaplains because they know what life at the front is like. That means they are willing to genuinely talk with him about their fears, issues of conscience when they kill people in combat, the pain of losing comrades in battle, the struggles some of them have sleeping and their concerns for their loved ones back home.
How we make a difference
Our Daily Bread’s support covers practical items such as fuel costs for trips to the front or postage costs for sending food and clothing, and other essentials that remind soldiers they are not forgotten. By supporting Home Front, you help protect relationships and reduce the number of soldiers who fall into domestic violence or turn to alcohol when they return home and cannot cope due to what they have experienced.
