Drops of Hope
Our Daily Bread gives war-traumatized kids a future, supports chaplains keeping soldiers human, and helps communities flourish across Ukraine. We do that through Drops of Hope. Small investments that help the roots of change grow deeper.
Healing the trauma war creates
Ukrainian partner organizations and churches understand what their neighbors need because they live it daily. They listen deeply, offer trusted guidance, and strengthen community bonds from within.
Think of them as farmers watering soil. Each Drop of Hope project fills the cracks – the trauma war creates in people and places. A child starts to hope again. A soldier’s pain is understood. A displaced family receives food and a warm embrace.
When compassion reaches deep, people move from surviving to living. From receiving to giving. From isolation to connection. When these roots take hold, communities become resilient.
Compassion feeds trust
In Ukraine, change doesn’t come from programs or budgets. It comes from showing up. Listening to stories without rushing. Sharing meals. Laughing together. Staying present through difficulty.
This practical compassion builds the relationships that make everything else possible. When Ukrainians see you genuinely care, they invite you deeper. They share what they truly need. They ask hard questions. They open doors to you.
Since founding Our Daily Bread in May 2020, we’ve grown from one small project in Bakhmut – a city now destroyed – into a network of trusted partnerships across Ukraine. That first seed of hope continues to grow.
